In 1960, Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen joined an impressive cast of Hollywood stars in the film The Magnificent Seven.   According to the movie's theme song, these hired gunfighters "fought for the future to wipe away their past."

I find it very interesting that in Berlin, there is a group of seven elderly German ladies, dubbed "The Magnificent Seven," who meet for English classes at Connections--a Christian library and coffee house run by missionaries Larry and Teri Lewis.  Let's pray that these seven women will come to know Jesus--the one who will wipe away the sin, pain, and tears of their past and give them eternal hope for the future.
