In today's Footsteps, longtime TWR veteran Felix Widmer prays for peace between Ukraine an Russia.  During his prayer, Felix pleads for "a spirit of forgiveness--an aspect which You, Father, specialize in."  Indeed, our Heavenly Father does "specialize in" forgiveness, doesn't He?  We often quote 1 John 1:9 (NKJV) which says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."  But, I bet that we don't quote Jesus in Matthew 6:14-15 (NKJV) near as often--"For if you forgive men their tresspasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive me their tresspasses, neither will your Father forgive your tresspasses."  Let's not forget that last verse.  Forgiveness is serious business!
