Welcome to the ninth video in a 10 part series by Pastor David Guzik on the reasons why cessationism is wrong. Many cessationists claim that the only way God communicates to humanity is through the words of the Bible itself. They hold that to believe God communicates outside of the Bible is to reject the authority of the Scriptures, or the sufficiency of the Scriptures. Primarily from scripture and and secondarily from testimony, Pastor David shows how this claim and attitude is false. Throughout this series, on the authority of the Bible and history, Pastor David refutes the cessationist belief that the apparently miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit are no longer available to Christians today, providing textual evidence and posing counter-questions to those who claim so.
