Are Christians Really Being Persecuted?

David Guzik addresses the issue of persecution of the Christian Church in our western world, in anticipation of what is to come but also in light of the present situation. 10 Myths about Persecution: 1. It’s only persecution when people are getting killed. 2. As long as someone else is persecuted worse, we shouldn’t complain. 3. Persecution has to be violent to be real persecution. 4. Persecution has to directly impact everyone before it is real persecution. 5. Persecutors openly hate Jesus Christ and Christianity. 6. Christians are persecuted without reason. 7. Christians should always silently accept persecution. 8. Persecution always unites the Church. 9. Persecution never “Works.” 10. Persecution is the worst thing that can happen to Christians. Philippians 3:10: That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death

Psalm 27 - The Seeking, Waiting Life Rewarded

Psalm 27 speaks of trouble David experienced with enemies, adversaries, false witnesses and violent men. There is such a marked change between the first half and the second half of this psalm that many suggest that it was two different psalms stitched together. Pastor David Guzik also gives three ways Psalm 27 points to Jesus.

Psalm 26 - Standing in an Even Place

Psalm 26 shares themes with many other Psalms, but we can note that despite the danger of evil associates, David remained confident that he would not slip, and would securely stand in an even place. Three ways Psalm 26 points to Jesus are described as well.
