David answers questions on the free grace movement and Lordship salvation, the Jewish people and the modern state of Israel, the Olivet Discourse and the abomination of desolation, Calvary Chapel and cessationism, and more!
A close examination of the passage dealing with Paul's instructions to Timothy about the roles and function of men and women in the church - should women be pastors and preachers over the church?
Questions from the live chat: What about those who say the Bible is a fairy tale, who was the author of Hebrews, my favorite book by J. Edwin Orr, and more!
In this first part of 1 Timothy 2, David Guzik examines what Paul told Timothy about how they should conduct worship services among the first Christians.
In this week's live chat question and answer, David Guzik deals with the often-asked question regarding "Once Saved, Always Saved" - that is, should we think that it is possible for a true believer (or apparent believer) to "lose" their salvation, and not go to heaven when they die?
Psalm 136 is a special psalm, with each one of its 26 verses repeating the sentence, His mercy endures forever. Throughout the Hebrew Scriptures, the phrase has somewhat of a liturgical sense to it, as if the assembled people of Israel said or sung this in response to the direction of the Levites leading singing and worship. We picture a great multitude of the people of God gathered in the temple courts. A priest or Levite would call out a reason to give God thanks, and His people would respond with, “For His mercy endures forever.”
Consider how great the mercy of God is, as it is expressed in the person and work of Jesus Christ throughout this wonderful psalm!
Psalm 100 is a psalm of thanksgiving, and it speaks of an invitation to the whole earth to know and to worship God.
Pastor David Guzik gives the what and why of giving praise and the what and why of giving thanks.
