Figures like Thomas Aquinas, Albertus Magnus, and Durandus, were Dominicans; and John of St. Giles, Alexander Hales, Adam Marsh, Bonaventura, Dun Scotus, Ockham, and Roger Bacon were all Franciscans. Each story helps us understand the roots of traditions that would come to define this medieval period; and go on to influence many thousands of believers for centuries thereafter.
