From the study on the Book of Habakkuk (חֲבַקּוּק), chapter 1:13b-2:1, Brother Gideon Levytam highlights the prophet Habakkuk’s prayerful dialogue with God, where he earnestly questions why God remains silent while the wicked, such as the Babylonians, devour those more righteous than themselves. Deeply concerned for the people of Israel, Habakkuk laments the merciless actions of the Babylonians, who do not hesitate to destroy entire nations. Awaiting a response from the Lord, Habakkuk takes his stand as a watchman, determined to observe how God will act toward His people in light of this injustice.
