This lesson highlights God’s patience and justice through the story of King Ahab. Despite Ahab's repeated rebellion, God graciously delivers him from enemies and gives him multiple chances to repent. But Ahab continues to ignore God’s guidance, culminating in the murder of Naboth to steal his vineyard—an act orchestrated by Queen Jezebel. God sends Elijah to declare judgment: Ahab's dynasty will be destroyed, and Jezebel will die a violent death. Although Ahab shows outward repentance, it is shallow and temporary.
