Some parents ask, "Why homeschool?" Well, one of the biggest blessings is the opportunity for discipleship. Deuteronomy 6 reminds us to teach God's Word diligently. When we sit, walk, lie down, or rise, that means weaving the gospel into everyday life. The gospel is simple. We're all sinners separated from God, but Jesus died and rose again so that by faith we can be forgiven and restored. Homeschooling doesn't save our kids, only Christ does that, but it gives us daily time to point them to Him, not just reading scripture, but helping them understand it. Discipleship--that's our calling as parents to lead our kids to know and follow Jesus.
Is homeschooling the answer?
