Choosing the Right Shepherd

In this lesson on Zechariah 9–11, Stephen Davey explains that God sovereignly controls the future, fulfilling His promises with precision—from historical events like Alexander the Great’s conquests to the coming of the Messiah. The prophecy reveals both Christ’s first coming in humility, where He is rejected, and His second coming in glory, where He will restore and reign over Israel. Davey emphasizes that Israel’s rejection of the true Shepherd led to judgment and dispersion, while also pointing ahead to future deception under a false shepherd. The passage ultimately challenges believers to choose wisely whom they follow, reminding us that only the Good Shepherd provides true security, guidance, and eternal hope.
