Have you ever noticed that when you're considering buying a specific model car, all of a sudden you start seeing it everywhere? The cars were always there, but once your attention was fixed on them, you couldn't help but notice. The same is true in our spiritual lives. Every day, there are countless voices competing for our focus. Social media, news, worries, and all kinds of distractions compete for a place in our minds. That's why it's so important to keep Jesus in front of us consistently. Through prayer, Scripture, worship, and Christian community, we train our hearts to look for Him in the middle of our everyday lives. Hebrews 12:2 tells us to "fix our eyes on Jesus." Because when our attention is centered on Christ, we begin to recognize His presence, His guidance, and His work all around us.
