A Pharisee asks Jesus which commandment matters most, hoping to trap him in a debate the religious leaders loved to argue over. Jesus answers plainly, saying to love God with everything you have, and to love your neighbor as yourself. Stephen Davey shows how these two commands hold the whole Bible together, and how loving God and loving people can never really be separated. Jesus then turns the tables and asks the Pharisees a question of his own about the Messiah, using it to reveal that he is not just a descendant of David but the Son of God himself. Davey uses this moment to ask a bigger question. Do you just know who Jesus is, or have you trusted him as your Savior?
