When the Israelites left Egypt they traveled across the Sinai Peninsula on a trade route that extended from the Nile Delta to Midian. Then, as they neared the top of the Gulf of Aqaba, God dramatically changed their direction and led them to Nuweiba Beach--the shore of the Red Sea.
