John Mathews

John-Paul Davies is the voice of our teacher, John Mathews, opening up God’s Word in a practical and understandable way. His heart for the gospel was fueled by his upbringing in a Christian home, primarily in the UK. “My father was a passionate preacher,” he says. “He had churches in Wales, England, New Zealand and Australia, and it was under his ministry and the gentle guidance of my mother that I became a Christian at the age of 9.” He says that the one who inspires him most in his life is Jesus Christ. “There is absolutely no one like him. His love, forgiveness, patience, kindness and awe are beyond comparison. I can’t wait to see him face-to-face.” John and his wife have four sons and live in Wales.
