Dr. David Stevens of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations is our guest today on Footsteps.  During our conversation he strongly encourages believers to "be there showing the love of Christ" to people who are going through disasters and crises.  This admonition is Biblical.  Now might be a good time to meditate on the following verses, and then look for opportunities to put them into action.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."  (2 Corinthians 1:3-4, NKJV)
