Radio Is a Friend
Radio is a very intimate medium. What do I mean? TWR President Lauren Libby puts it this way: "Radio is a friend." In times of lonliness, radio offers companionship. You see, not only does radio place another human being's voice right next to you in your home, office, or car, but speaking specifically of Christian radio, the Holy Spirit is involved in the communication process as well. Think about how Jesus describes the Holy Spirit in John 14:16-17 (NASB):
"I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you."
Other translations refer to the Spirit as the Comforter (KJV), the Counselor (CSB), and the Advocate (NIV). That's why I wholeheartedly agree with Lauren. When the Holy Spirit uses radio in your life, I would definitely call that a friend!
