According to Pavel Shifman on today's Footsteps, there are many "nominal Orthodox" and "regular, average Russians who do not believe in anything."  Pavel works in media ministry in Russia with the goal of reaching his unbelieving fellow countrymen with the Gospel of Jesus.  So, where does he start?  Well, I think his answer is applicable for any of us who are trying to evangelize a skeptical audience.  Start with "issues that are common to every individual."  This approach should work with both short-feature radio programs as well as one-on-one encounters.  In essence, just begin a conversation, and as you explore a "basic life question," don't be surprised when the Holy Spirit opens a door of opportunity to sow some Gospel seed.  Don't feel pressure.  Don't use manipulation.  Just pray ... wait on the Spirit's leading ... and then go for it!
