Staying on a Good Line
"All of this ... helps our church to stay on a good line," explains Belarusian pastor Viktor Krutko on today's Footsteps. So, what exactly is helping the church in Belarus in such a major way? "Good American (Christian) schools" and seminaries, solid Bible teachers whom Viktor refers to as "good guys," and the translators and broadcasters who have shared this good and accurate teaching about Jesus. Let's put this thought in the context of Hebrews 12:1-2a (NKJV):
"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith ..."
It's obvious that our world is full of ungodly influences, and these loud voices are doing their best to pull us off of God's righteous path. But when we read God's Word and listen to excellent Bible teachers, our lives are refocused and fixed on Jesus, and we are better able to run on a "good line" straight toward Him. And that's why Christian radio is so vital to believers in Belarus, America, and throughout the world.
