David Brainerd (1718-1747) was a Presbyterian minister and missionary to several Native American tribes in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.  During the 1740s, while battling tuberculosis and bouts of severe depression, Brainerd lived among these American Indians and preached the Gospel to them.  In his diary entry for July 21, 1744, the young missionary wrote:

"I cared not where or how I lived, or what hardships I went through, so that I could but gain souls to Christ."(1) 

David Brainerd's eagerness for sharing Jesus with others was very evident, and on today's Footsteps, Missionary Radio's Ken Cummins takes us to Cuba and talks about the passion that recent Cuban converts have in sharing the Good News of Jesus with their fellow countrymen.  "They want to" see others come to Christ!

As believers in Jesus, may we all have this same desire to spread the Gospel everywhere.
