A-1 - Encouraged by What You Read?

On today’s Footsteps, Ed Cannon, President and CEO of FEBC (Far East Broadcasting Company) reminds us that “if man waters down the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our own wisdom and our own slick words, God will destroy that message.”  Well, as strong as Ed’s words are, the Apostle Paul’s warning is even stronger—“if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:8-9, ESV).  Obviously, altering or watering down the Gospel is serious business!
