ERF Is Easier To Say
Foreign languages have never been among my strongest subjects. I had two years of Spanish in high school, but I only remember a few vocabulary words. In college, I took one class in French, but I just had to refresh myself on how to say yes and no in that language. When it comes to German, well, let me just quote Sergeant Schultz from the old tv show Hogan's Heroes by saying "I know nothing!" So, when I interviewed Thorston Grahn of ERF (TWR's national partner in Germany), and asked him about the meaning of the letters E-R-F, I just shook my head when he said "Evangeliums-Rundfunk." I'll stick with saying ERF. But, whether or not I speak German, the good news is that TWR is currently speaking hope to the world in 230 languages and dialects!
