On today's Footsteps, we hear more of the story of John Clipa who was martyred for smuggling Bibles into communist countries in the 1970s.  His son, Pavel tells us that after his father was arrested, the police "came to the subject of the names" of the other Bible smugglers, but his father "didn't want to cooperate."  John Clipa's failure to cooperate reminds me of the story Rahab in Joshua 2.  When Rahab was accused of harboring two spies, she lied about their whereabouts to the king's men.  Isn't that a sin?  Evidently not.  Her noncooperation awarded her a mention in Hebrews 11--"the hall of faith!"  Obviously, noncooperation for the sake of a righteous cause is praiseworthy.
