According to Hiro Fukuda, in the 1980s, the evangelical population in Japan was about one percent.  Now, that figure has been cut in half.  The statistics cause Hiro to believe that the church planting strategy for Japan that many missionaries used over the last hundred years "didn't work."  But, he firmly believes that mass media "is a most effective way of reaching Japanese."  Pray today that God would use TWR in a powerful way as we proclaim the name of Jesus throughout Japan.
