From the Top Down
Dr. John MacArthur makes this statement about leadership: "To put it simply, leadership is influence. The ideal leader is someone whose life and character motivate people to follow. The best kind of leadership derives its authority first from the force of a righteous example, and not merely from the power of prestige, personality, or position."(1) But in today's world, many countries are governed by kings, presidents, or prime ministers, who attempt to lead by dictate, manipulation, and force. And in many cases, these leaders lack integrity. I think the story that Bruce Witt of Compass Global Alliance shares in today's Footsteps is inspiring. Imagine a president of a country who chooses to lead his government by using biblical principles of money management. I encourage you to listen to today's program!
