In Matthew chapter 10, as Jesus is sending out his disciples, He warns them, "you will be hated by all for my name's sake" (verse 22, ESV).  Not only did these first century followers of Jesus experience persecution, but many believers in our day are also suffering because they bear the name of Christ.  I find it interesting that this particular chapter in Matthew ends with, "And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward" (verse 42, ESV).  When you listen to today's Footsteps, I think you'll discover that's exactly what TWR's Garth Kennedy is doing in West Africa.
