Francis Schaeffer has been quoted as saying, "Biblical orthodoxy without compassion is surely the ugliest thing in the world."(1)  As believers, including those of us in Christian broadcasting, we must not only teach and preach the Bible, but we must put it into practice.  It must be personal for us.  TWR's "Jude" gives us an example of this way of living.  She serves as a host on the arabic broadcast of Women of Hope, and on today's Footsteps, she tells us that when she is behind the microphone, she "can see the pain" in the eyes of her listeners.  "I see these women everyday ... I see what's behind the veil, and I can know how much they need to listen to a word of hope."  As we go about our lives, may we do the same.  As we take notice of the people around us, let's take a deep look into their eyes so that we might see their pain.  Then, may Jesus use us to reach out to them with compassion, hope, and love.
