Over the last few decades, church planting has been the major strategy of many missions agencies.  But recently, I heard a new term--multiplication.  According to Youth With A Mission's Dean Lundberg, YWAM sees church planting "as more of a multiplication of disciples."  Think about what was happening to the early church in the book of Acts: "And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved" (Acts 2:47b, ESV) and "more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women" (Acts 5:14, ESV).  That sure sounds like muliplication to me!
