Mark Mekelburg is a professional clown who ministers in the hospitals, churches, and streets of Portugal.  In today's Footsteps, his son Lucas genuinely expressed his admiration for his dad by saying, "I want to thank God for giving me a 'clown dad.'"  I'm sure those words had to touch Mark's heart.  Just like every son wants to know that his dad is proud of him, every father longs to hear that his son is proud of his dad.  So, parents, before the end of this day, let's not fail to tell our kids that we love them and that we're thankful to God for them and proud to have them as our children.  And kids (adult children included), make sure to tell your parents today that you love them and are proud of them as well.  It matters!
