When God called the Ghobad family to leave their home in Germany and serve with Lutheran World Service in Cambodia, they "didn't really know what to expect."  But as Dariush looks back on the experience, he says, "It is just so great to see how the Lord...paved the way for us."

The Ghobad's story sounds like a modern-day version of Proverbs 3:5-6:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths" (NKJV) or "make straight your paths" (ESV) or "pave the way." (Ghobads)
