"It's interesting how many people are still listening to shortwave radio," states TWR President Lauren Libby on today's Footsteps.  I agree with Lauren.  In fact, just this week, I had this same discussion with a tour group that came through Studio One at the TWR offices in Cary, N.C.  I'm an advocate of shortwave and medium wave (or AM) radio because, first of all, both can travel long distances at night and cross the borders of multiple countries.  And secondly, for someone who lives in a remote area, or in a country where their media is heavily controlled and censored, people will seek out differing social, political, and religious viewpoints by way of radio.
