My father was a deacon at the church where I grew up.  He would often talk about church matters at home and in the car.  I remember one conversation clearly.  He was very concerned because the church was discontinuing support for a missionary in order to pay for maintenance work at the church.  Why is the missions budget so often a target for cuts?  And now, in today's conversation with Branko Bjelajac, TWR's Director for Global Partnership Development, he tells us that in Europe, "people have lost faith in the missionary set-up of the church."  On one hand, this is discouraging, even painful news, but on the other, it motivates me all the more to do my best to use the tool of Footsteps to inspire and recruit new missionaries to the field!
