In her ministry role with Resourcing Christian Education in Quito, Ecuador, Mari Hernandez Tuten counsels young women who have been delivered from the bondage of human trafficking.  On today's Footsteps, she tells the story of one of these girls who had been rescued.  One day, during this girl's process of healing, Mari was struck by "The sparkle in her eye."  How could this formerly abused girl have a "sparkle in her eye?"  She was learning to trust in God and find joy in Him.

"But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You."  (Psalm 5:11, NKJV)
