As a homeschool family, we have toured countless museums, battlefields, and historic sites.  It's one thing to read about an event in a history book, but it's an altogether different learning experience when one has the opportunity to visit the spot where that event took place.  That's why I totally agree with Dr. Doug Bookman of Shepherd's Theological Seminary who will be leading a study trip to Israel May 28 through June 9.  Dr. Bookman describes the land of Israel as "a huge blackboard you can walk around on."  A trip to Israel truly is an amazing and profitable way to learn more about the Bible!
