The book of Proverbs has several familiar verses about pride.  For example:

"A man's pride shall bring him low: but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit."  (Proverbs 29:23, KJV)

In the New Living Translation, this same verse reads...

"Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor."  (Proverbs 29:23, NLT)

That proverb is an excellent summary of today's Footsteps which features "Steve" and "Hope."  They are missionaries to the Domari people of North Africa.  Listen to today's program.  Smile with "Steve" as he is brought low.  Then, rejoice knowing that the incident in today's story has actually helped advance their ministry to the Domari.
