Inspire...motivate...engage...and yes, RECRUIT.  Part of the vision for "Footsteps" is to inspire and motivate you and other listeners to develop a passion for missions and a desire to be actively involved in the Great Commission.  When I interviewed David Booth, I was stunned by his comment that of the 10,000 deaf people in Portugal, he and his wife "know of 2 who are followers of Jesus Christ."  Only 2!  So, by God's grace, may this episode of "Footsteps" motivate someone to stand up and say, "Here am I, send me."  I want to join in this effort to spread the Good News to the deaf in Portugal.
