"Verisimilitude."  I don't think I've ever used that particular word before, but in today's Footsteps, Dr. Doug Bookman mentions that when a Christian embarks on a trip to Israel and is able to study the life of Christ in the land where Jesus lived, "it has verisimilitude."  So, what is "verisimilitude?"  According to Merriam-Webster, it's "the quality or state of being verisimilar."(1)  Okay...what's "verisimilar?"  Verisimilar is "having the appearance of truth" or "probable."(2)  Let me put it this way--when a believer is blessed with the opportunity of studying a passage of scripture about Jesus in the exact location where that event took place, the truth of the Bible becomes even more real to that believer.
