There is a great deal of debate within the Church on the issue of baptism, and my purpose with today's blog is not to get involved in that issue.  But I must admit, during today's Footsteps interview, when TWR's Andrew Sundar mentioned that a listener in Afghanistan came to Christ and then "baptized himself," I started questioning in my mind whether or not this man's baptism was theologically correct.  You might be wrestling with those same thoughts.  But think about his situation--this TWR listener is a new believer who lives in a region where there are no churches and where he is isolated from any other Christians.  What would I do?  What would you do?  Honestly, I commend this man for his eagerness and resourcefulness in baptizing himself and making a public profession of faith to his family.
