"If you just purpose it in your heart today ... to make their day a little bit better, God will use that," suggests Jon Hull on today's Footsteps.  He's talking about speaking encouraging words, listening patiently, and showing kindness to our friends, neighbors, and coworkers.  Can a few kind words really make a difference?  The Bible says YES.  Here are three verses from Proverbs for you to consider as you listen to today's program:

"A man has joy by the answer of his mouth, and a word spoken in due season, how good it is!" (Proverbs 15:23, NKJV)

"Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body." (Proverbs 16:24, ESV)

"A word spoken at the right time is like gold apples in silver settings." (Proverbs 25:11, CSB)
