On today's Footsteps, Andrew Lupton, a missionary with Mission to the World tells the story of a young doctor who described the Gospel as "too good to be true."  D.L. Moody once said, "God never made a promise that was too good to be true”.(1)  He's right.  Think about the fact that "The LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations" (Psalm 100:5, NKJV), and that in the life of the believer, "We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose" (Romans 8:28, HCSB).  So, the Gospel isn't "too good to be true."  Why?  Because God is good, and his work in the lives of believers is always good as well!
