In the Middle of a Basketball Court
We find Jesus' Great Commission to us in Matthew 28:19 (ESV):
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."
Notice the first word of Jesus' command to us--"GO." As Christians, we truly are ambassadors of Christ. We are His representatives to the whole world. We must do more than just hold regular worship services within the walls of our church buildings and invite others to come and join us, we must go out into the world and carry the Good News of Jesus to every nation. This directive includes the Native American tribes of the United States as well as the First Nations peoples of Canada. That's exactly what On Eagles' Wings is doing, and often, they are using the center of a basketball court as their pulpit to share Jesus with others. Weston Francis of On Eagles' Wings (a branch of Ron Hutchcraft Ministries) is our guest on today's Footsteps. He explains their strategy for taking the Gospel to Native American and First Nations reservations. After listening to today's episode, I hope you will begin fervently praying for this vital outreach.
