My Prayer Garden
Edward McKendree Bounds, or E.M. Bounds as he is most often referred to, was a man of prayer. Not only did he author eight books on the subject of prayer, he was personally devoted to intercessory prayer. According to the forward of E.M. Bounds: The Classic Colllection on Prayer, "He spent a minimum of three to four hours each morning in prayer."(1) While I look forward to meeting E.M. Bounds in Heaven, I recently met a man who takes intercessory prayer just as seriously as Rev. Bounds.
A few weeks ago, Rolland Schearer came through the TWR studios on a tour. As I showed him Studio One, played him some sample programs, and talked with him, I became so amazed by this man's prayer life that I knew I had to record an interview with him. If you haven't already heard it, you must listen to our conversation on today's Footsteps. And if Rolland's story inspires you, I encourage you to share it with others.
