The Privilege of Being Carjacked
This morning, I messed up! And my mistakes affected several other people. First, I forgot to book TWR's Studio One for a live interview segment with a station in Ohio, and I had to ask TWR colleague #1 if I could bump him out of Studio One for a few minutes, plus I caused TWR colleague #2 to be delayed in using the studio for his recording session. Then, after my interview, I was alerted by my friend in Ohio that I failed to properly disconnect the online, digital hookup with their station resulting in their next guest being unable to join them on the air. Unfortunately, I didn't catch my error in time, and I felt terrible. That's when colleague #2 dropped by my office. As I was apologizing for disrupting his morning, he simply stated, "I believe in the sovereignty of God," and he reminded me of the bigger picture--that my mistakes still fit into God's overall plan. Basically, he was pointing me to Romans 8:28 (NKJV):
"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
I needed to hear that truth!
Well, on today's Footsteps, Shine.FM's Brian McIntyre shares a carjacking story from his broadcasting days in Argentina, and it's an excellent example of Romans 8:28. You say, "Wait a minute Andy ... how does being carjacked fit into God's sovereignty and His good plan?" Don't miss today's episode!
