Each morning at our TWR offices, we gather for devotions, and this morning, a verse was mentioned that caught my attention.  The Lord says in Isaiah 43:19 (ESV):

"Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?  I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

Our Holy God is great, mighty, loving, and sovereign, and He has always been in control of the world.  Throughout history, the LORD has raised up His chosen people to accomplish His will.  And in our day, He is still creating, choosing, and placing His people in specific locations and key roles to fulfill His purposes.  That means it is our responsibility and honor, as the body of Christ, to follow God and carry out the "new thing" that He is doing on earth right now.  As Dr. Erwin Lutzer puts it on today's episode of Footsteps, "We must recognize that God has put us in this generation for this reason--to get the Gospel of Jesus Christ out there."  Let's do it!
