God Created Radio
I remember the day that my friend and former co-worker Dave pointed out something interesting in Psalm 19:
"The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge." (Psalm 19:1-2, NKJV)
Obviously, the sun, moon, and stars of our expansive universe "declare the glory of God." But Dave looked at these two verses from the perspective of a broadcast engineer, and he recognized ... RADIO. Think about it. God created the earth's atmosphere so that radio waves would work. Plus, He made the ionosphere in such a way that it would reflect AM and shortwave radio so that the signals could travel hundreds and even thousands of miles. And now, every day and every night, Christian radio stations and networks around the globe are broadcasting through the sky "speech" that "reveals knowledge"--the very Word of God.
On today's Footsteps, Bible teacher Dr. Erwin Lutzer takes us to Genesis chapter 1 and shares a very similar thought. As you listen, join me in praising God for His creative gift of radio, and then pray that TWR would continue to faithfully broadcast the Gospel throughout the world.
