Sewing School Uniforms
While primary and secondary education is free in many countries around the world, it is often the responsibility of the family to purchase the needed books, supplies, shoes, and specific school uniforms for each child. And, in areas of deep poverty, these school expenses keep a great number of children at home. But, Miriam Neff and Widow Connection has come up with a great idea! Widow Connection is teaching widows in several African countries how to sew school uniforms. Blessed with a brand new treadle sewing machine and the training of a professional tailor, these widows not only can make school uniforms for their own children, but they can open a business selling these uniforms to other families. I think it's a brilliant concept!
