The Black Sheep
Black sheep are relatively rare, and they stand out in a flock of white sheep. But if a black sheep wanders off, it doesn't matter the color of his wool, a responsible shepherd will do all he can to track down his missing black sheep. Now, I want you to think about Jesus' Parable of the Lost Sheep:
"What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!' I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over the ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance." (Luke 15:4-7, NKJV)
Christopher Martinez, our guest on today's episode of Footstep, knows what it means to be "the black sheep" of his family, but he also knows what it means to be found by the Good Shepherd--Jesus. And now, God is using Chris to reach out to other "black sheep" through TWR's Every Man A Warrior ministry. Make sure to listen to today's program. I'm sure you'll find it encouraging.
