Focusing on Hope
When times are tough, we look for hope that our circumstances will improve. These days, life in Cuba is extremely difficult! With severe shortages of the basic necessities, the Cuban people are searching for hope. That's why Haven Ministries' radio program El Faro de Redencion, which is broadcast nightly into Cuba over TWR, has been focusing on "hope through Christ." And the hope we have in Jesus is an eternal and guaranteed hope! As the late R.C. Sproul wrote:
"Hope is called the anchor of the soul (Hebrews 6:19), because it gives stability to the Christian life. But hope is not simply a 'wish' (I wish that such-and-such would take place); rather, it is that which latches on to the certainty of the promises of the future that God has made." (1)
If you haven't already checked out today's episode of Footsteps, I encourage you to listen as Danny Rojas, the host and teacher on El Faro de Redencion talks more about broadcasting the hope of Christ into Cuba. Then, please pray for the Cuban people to turn to Jesus--the only source of this everlasting hope.
