In Mark's account of the feeding of the 5000, before the multitude was given anything to eat, we read:

"When he (Jesus) went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.  And he began to TEACH them many things." (Mark 6:34, ESV)

In Sunday School, we often talk about the miracle of feeding the huge crowd of people, but we forget that before the meal they were spiritually fed by Jesus' teaching.

On today's Footsteps, Danny Rojas, the host and Bible teacher on the program El Faro de Redencion (which is aired by TWR-Bonaire into Cuba), talks about the Cuban Church's approach to ministry during the country's current economic crisis.  While Cuban churches are offering humanitarian aid, they also are presenting the Gospel.  As Danny explains with a smile, "It's not just food; it's food and Jesus."

Keep praying for the growing Church in Cuba!
