The apostle Paul points out that Satan who is "the god of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel" (2 Corinthians 4:4, ESV).  How does the devil accomplish this devious goal?  By filling the world with lies.  Jesus tells His followers that Satan "does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies" (John 8:44b, ESV).  So, in the midst of a world of falsehood, how can believers in Jesus successfully spread the Good News that eternal salvation can be found in Christ?  It's simple; we must share the truth found in God's Word.  Augustine put it this way: "Where I found truth, there found I my God, who is the truth itself."(1)
