I think that it's accurate to say that for many Christians, missions is not a high priority.  Why?  For some, it's probably indifference.  But for others, who might have the desire to share the Gospel but never follow through, it's likely fear.  So today, let me point you to two people who will encourage you to get involved at some level in Jesus' Great Commission to "go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19a, NIV).  First, pastor and author J.D. Greear puts it this way:

"The Great Commission is not a calling for some; it is a mandate for all. ... When it comes to a calling, we don't need a voice; we have a verse (Matthew 28:19).  It is now our responsibility, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, to evaluate how we are best suited to fulfill that call."(1)   

Now, for an example of someone who has wholeheartedly answered the call to missions, let's turn to today's guest on Footsteps.  Jonatas Hubner's career background is in IT, and these days, he's putting his training and experience to use on the staff of the Bible-teaching program Mission 66.  And on today's Footsteps, Jonatas issues the call for every follower of Jesus to participate in the Great Commission.  He even gives you some easy steps to take. 

After listening to this episode, I hope that you'll keep hearing Jonatas' plea: "There's always something you can do."
